B&T Scaffolding is proud to have been selected to provide scaffolding for a refurbishment project at a Royal Mail Post Office in London. The project involved roof work, a replacement flat roof and a refurbishment.
Our bespoke scaffolding service, which cost £10,000, was primarily focused on safety, accessibility and efficiency, ensuring minimal disruption to the public.
Project Challenges and Solutions
The scaffolding structure, assembled over four days, provided full accessibility for roof repairs and refurbishment works on the flat roof. With weekly scaffolding checks scheduled, our team ensured everything was 100% secure and aligned with strict safety standards. Two lorry loads of scaffolding equipment were delivered on-site, containing everything needed for a straightforward setup and minimal disruption to the busy location.
The standard independent scaffolding was installed with handrails and pavement scaffolding, protecting the public while providing construction teams safe access to elevated areas. Bridge beams were also implemented to increase scaffold stability and provide additional support for the walkway, creating a safe working environment for all employees.

Our team took proactive measures to make sure the pavement scaffolding was always secure, integrating safety nets and strong handrails to reduce risk to workers and passersby.
