Reliable Scaffolding for New Build Construction
As you already know, construction sites move quickly, so access requirements can change many times as the build progresses.
Structural frame, brickwork, roofing and envelope works all require different access configurations and each trade is waiting on the one before it. So, if the scaffold isn’t adapted between phases, you get annoying on-site bottlenecks that are difficult to recover from.
Poor sequencing is one of the most common causes of avoidable delay on London construction projects. It usually comes down to a scaffolding contractor who quoted the job and then left site management to look after itself.
We stay involved and communicate with your team throughout the whole process.
B&T Scaffolding liaises directly with the principal contractor, tracks the schedule and adjusts the scaffold as each phase is completed, ensuring your site runs smoothly.
How We Work On New Build Projects
Directors Bili and Thomas are involved throughout every project, liaising directly with site managers and principal contractors. We make decisions quickly when needed, which is critical on a live construction site.
Before work starts – We review the build programme and agree on a scaffolding plan that supports each phase of construction. Where scaffolding designs are required, our team can produce them. And we also provide risk assessments and method statements before any work begins on site.
During the build – Our experienced team adapt the scaffold as the project progresses and responds quickly to any changes. Weekly site inspections are available to keep the structure signed off and compliant throughout. All our scaffolders hold CISRS/CSCS cards and are CITB-registered.
On completion – Once works are finished, we dismantle and remove the scaffold, leaving the site clean and clear. Handover certificates and TG20 compliance documentation are given as required.

Frequently Ask Questions
How do you adapt scaffolding for different stages of a new build project?
Scaffolding is adjusted in line with the build programme, moving from structural frame access to brickwork, roofing and finishing stages. We plan ahead but remain flexible, ensuring each trade has safe and efficient access as the project progresses.
Can scaffolding be modified quickly if the build schedule changes?
Yes. Construction programmes often shift, so we stay involved throughout the project and respond quickly to changes. This avoids delays and keeps the site running efficiently without trades being held up.
Do you provide scaffolding designs and compliance documentation?
We can produce full scaffold designs where required, along with risk assessments, method statements and TG20 compliance documentation. This ensures all structures meet current regulations and site requirements.
How often is scaffolding inspected on an active construction site?
We offer regular inspections, including weekly checks if required, to ensure the scaffold remains safe, compliant and fully signed off throughout the duration of the project.
What qualifications do your scaffolders hold?
All scaffolders are CISRS/CSCS qualified and CITB-registered, ensuring work is carried out by trained professionals who understand site safety, compliance and best practices.
Do you work with principal contractors and site managers directly?
Yes, we liaise closely with principal contractors and site managers from start to finish. This allows us to align with the build programme, coordinate access requirements and keep communication clear across all phases.
